The Third (and Final) Arabic Quiz

Tuesday, November 9

Class was a bit more relaxed today. We reviewed for our quiz by going over homework and other exercises as our professor put sentences up on the whiteboard for us. At one point, my professor was trying to make a grammar analogy by using a sun and moon metaphor, and I started laughing. Not at her, but because the analogy worked! One of my friends asked me if I was okay and I just said that it was a long week. She looked confused and said, “But it’s Tuesday.” I replied with: “I know.” Y’all, it was a long week. Two major papers due and an Arabic quiz in one week. It’s a lot.

Thursday, November 11

We had our third (and final) quiz of the semester; I was pretty nervous about it because I really didn’t study much. I had a lot on my plate this week, and an Arabic quiz was the last thing I needed. However, as my professor was reading through the quiz at the beginning of class, I realized that I knew more than I thought I did. Overall, I feel like I did well. I’m excited to see how I did. Also, I got my grades back on past quizzes! I got an 85% on the first one of the semester, and an 89% on the second one! If I get a B+ for the semester, I will be 100% okay with that. Honestly, I feel like I’ve put in B+ work, so my grade should reflect that. Oh well, time will tell. It’s hard to believe that I have 5 weeks left to the semester. Crazy how time flies!
